    Absolutely! All Softsoap® liquid hand soap and body wash formulas are gentle enough for use by the entire family, including children.

  • Which Softsoap® products are best for sensitive skin?

    Most of our non-seasonal liquid hand soaps are dermatologically tested, but for people with sensitive skin we especially recommend Antibacterial Sensitive Rosewater & Aloe Liquid Hand Soap.

  • What Softsoap® products are best for dry skin?

    All of our products help to retain skin’s natural moisture, but for people with dry skin we especially recommend our most moisturizing products:

  • What is the expiration date on Softsoap® products?

    All Softsoap® brand products are formulated and tested to remain at optimal quality for at least two years when stored at room temperature.

  • How do I recycle my Softsoap® package?

    It’s easy—look for the How2Recycle® label on the back of your bottle for specific instructions on recycling.

  • How do I open my Softsoap® pump bottle?

    Just make sure you tighten the collar on the bottle by turning it clockwise, then twist the pump counter-clockwise and you’re ready to go!

  • Do Softsoap® products contain plastic microbeads?

    No, Softsoap® formulas do not contain any plastic microbeads.

  • Do Softsoap® products contain any alcohol?

    We do not intentionally add isopropyl alcohol, ethanol or ethyl alcohol to our body wash and non-antibacterial liquid hand soap formulas. Our antibacterial liquid hand soap formulas contain trace amounts of ethyl alcohol.

  • Do Softsoap® products contain gluten?

    We do not intentionally add gluten to any of our products. Although we obtain our ingredients from reliable and trusted suppliers who maintain our high standards for safety, quality, and efficacy, we cannot guarantee that the ingredients used have not come in contact with any gluten.

  • Do Softsoap® products contain nuts?

    All Softsoap® products are manufactured in a plant that processes items with nuts.

    Yes, all Softsoap® products are free of parabens and phthalates.

  • Are all Softsoap® liquid hand soaps antibacterial?

    We offer Softsoap® liquid hand soaps in both non-antibacterial as well as antibacterial formulas to accommodate our consumers’ needs and preferences.

    Softsoap® antibacterial liquid hand soaps contain benzalkonium chloride, an antibacterial ingredient which is clinically proven to eliminate 99.9% of the common harmful bacteria, S. aureus & E. coli.

    "Wash away dirt and bacteria” means that our products will wash away dirt and bacteria for good hand hygiene.

    To practice good hand washing techniques: wet hands with clean water, turn off tap, apply soap, lather, scrub for 20 seconds—making sure you get in between your fingers and under your nails—and rinse.

    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that keeping hands clean is one of the most important acts people can take to help prevent the spread of infection and stay healthy.

  • What is the correct way to refill Softsoap® hand soap?

    We recommend thoroughly rinsing out and drying your hand soap pump and bottle before refilling it with another Softsoap formula.

    Due to the unique formulas of Softsoap® antibacterial liquid hand soaps, we strongly recommend refilling the Softsoap® antibacterial liquid hand soap bottles only with other Softsoap® antibacterial liquid hand soaps.
