ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING
Colgate's products are sold in over 200 countries, meeting the needs of millions of people worldwide. As a result, we offer some of the most sophisticated supply chain challenges available in today's global marketplace. We have Engineering opportunities within Colgate-Palmolive’s three major divisions:
- Corporate Technology’s Manufacturing and Engineering Groups
- US Company Manufacturing Operations Group
- Hill’s Pet Nutrition’s Manufacturing and Engineering Groups
Work as a Technology Consultant in the Category Engineering Department at our Global Technology Center (Piscataway, NJ), or in our Hill’s Manufacturing Engineering Technology Department (Topeka, KS). Your responsibilities would include:
- Being active in technology transfer, process development and design and implementation support
- Working with vendors to identify and specify equipment needs
- Working as part of a team to solve technical problems and translate research from concept to launch
Or, work in the Colgate’s or Hill’s Manufacturing Operations within our US plants as an Operations or Engineering Team Member. Your responsibilities would include:
- Producing and packaging company products
- Support of new product launches, installations, shop tests and other plant-related projects
- Potential involvement in equipment installation, production line design and layout, process optimization, plant troubleshooting and direct supervision of operations
The requirements for a Colgate Engineering career include:
- BS/MS Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Package Engineering, Supply Chain or Manufacturing
- Superior interpersonal, communication and quantitative skills
- Manufacturing internship experience
- Desire for International Business experience (job mobility essential)

Global Human Resources Development Program
Colgate HR Associates are given the opportunity to contribute to HR initiatives at the corporate, division and operating unit levels, both domestically and internationally. Our HR professionals are treated as strategic business partners and integral members of the management team. They are encouraged to learn as much as possible about many areas of our company.
Our program provides:

A “Learn by Doing” approach

4 to 6 rotations over a 12 to 18 month period

Possible assignments in Compensation, HR Information Center, Manufacturing, Sales and an International Division
Requirements:

Graduate degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or Industrial Labor Relations

Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills

Desire for an international career (previous experience abroad is a plus)

Prior work experience in human resources preferred

Global Human Resources Summer Internship
Colgate offers summer internships for those interested in a global human resources management career. Interns will join a functional Colgate HR team and will help manage one or more project areas such as:
Interns gain firsthand knowledge of our company through exposure to HR senior management and business leaders. Successful interns will demonstrate strong team building and communication skills, as well as the ability to plan and prioritize.

MARKETING
Global Marketing Development Program
This program, designed especially for those interested in US brand management, consists of rotations in US Sales, Global Business Development and US Marketing. Trainees learn key account and regional marketing strategies and their impact on Colgate businesses around the world.
Associates who complete the program will join a product management team in US Marketing and help manage a well-known Colgate US brand. We aggressively promote from within and encourage rotation among brand assignments.
Requirements:
Global Marketing Summer Internship
This internship program is for those interested in a career in the Domestic market. Interns work alongside Product Managers as members of a group managing one or more brands. Interns gain firsthand experience in Advertising, Sales Promotion, Finance, Marketing Research and Packaging and Design. In addition, interns enjoy exposure to members of senior management, Global Business Development, Marketing, Sales and Research & Development.
Requirements:

Completion of first year of an MBA program in Marketing or Management

Prior experience in marketing, sales or other business discipline

Strong analytical and organizational skills

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
As an intern in Research and Development and Global Supply chain, you will have the opportunity to interact with world class scientists and engineers who are experts in their chosen field. At Colgate's Technology Center, we utilize some of the most sophisticated scientific equipment and engineering processes available in the world. We provide talented students with the opportunity to take responsibility for a project and be afforded the guidance and support of a Mentor. Experience for yourself the satisfaction of learning within an organizational setting and sharing the real spirit of professional accomplishment, possibly leading to a full-time position upon completion of your degree.
